Climate-Resilient Development and Adaptation [India]
The Climate-Resilient Development and Adaptation is aimed to develop a framework for implementation of adaptation measures and to ultimately enable the climate-resilient development against the projected long-term impacts due to changing climate in India. The point of the project is specifically focusing adaptation in flood- and drought- prone areas while it addresses adaptation in several sectors including agriculture, water and coastal zone. The project renders woman's risks to climate change greater attention.
  • Implementation of climate change risk reduction strategies, policies and mechanisms.
  • Adaptive capacity development at policy and institutional levels to understand and address adaptation processes and their implications for existing and new government programmes.
  • Compilation and dissemination of lessons learned.
